Every option trader has “roll” or adjust positions. This is usually done by rolling “out” (in time) and up or down in strike price.

It’s giving oneself more time to be “right” and have the market move their way.

At that point, it’s a waiting game.

However, it doesn’t have to be.

We view rolling trades as temporary storage of “risk”.

While there are many variations on the theme, we’ll show one way of how we first “store”, and then move that risk forward in time to quickly realize profits.
