INTX Migration - INTX Traders with Existing Deribit Accounts
As previously announced, Coinbase International Exchange (INTX) is being consolidated into Deribit. This article will explain the migration process for those users who have both an INTX account and a Deribit account, where their Deribit account is using a third party custodian.
Account Provisioning & Migration
If the existing Deribit account is using a third party custodian, this means that it is not possible to simply migrate all the assets and positions of the INTX account to the existing Deribit account. To remedy this, a new Deribit account has been set up for accounts in this situation. All of your INTX balances and open positions will automatically transfer to this new Deribit account on September 9th during the migration process. Please note that your new Deribit account will remain in trading-disabled mode until September 9th.
How to Sign In
To log in, visit deribit.com/login, select “Sign in with Coinbase Account” (available from August 30th), and enter your existing INTX credentials. If you are currently logged into an existing Deribit account, you may need to sign out first to access the newly created account.
Action Required Before Migration
Prior to migration, please confirm that you can access your Deribit account. You may also configure optional account settings in advance, such as generating API keys, adjusting wallet settings, adding security keys, and setting up self-match prevention.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your Account Manager or visit our FAQs page for additional details.
After Migration
It is only possible to be logged into a single Deribit account at a time in the same browser instance. For this reason, any traders who wish to continue using both accounts simultaneously will need to use separate browser accounts, different browsers, or different devices.
Unless there is a business reason for doing otherwise, for simplicity, most traders would likely benefit from consolidating both of the accounts into a single account. This would involve moving the funds and positions. If you have any questions about this process, please reach out to your Account Manager.
